Rolling Stone: Greatest Songs of 21st Century So Far

Rolling Stone has always had its own way of looking at things, but when they rolled out their recent, 250 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century So Far, it kind of blew my mind. First, only one Taylor Swift song on the list and not one of the biggest hits? Secondly, Missy Elliott number one? Really.
I guess to each their own.

“We had plenty of arguments while putting this list together — and we enjoyed every minute. It’s a list of songs, not artists, so we mostly avoided repeating multiple tunes by the same performer,” the article says. I’ll bet.

  1. Missy Elliott – “Get Ur Freak On”
  2. Yeah Yeah Yeahs – “Maps”
  3. Beyoncé feat. Jay Z – “Crazy in Love”
  4. The White Stripes – “Seven Nation Army”
  5. Taylor Swift – “All Too Well”
  6. Robyn – “Dancing on My Own”
  7. Kendrick Lamar – “Alright”
  8. Radiohead – “Idioteque”
  9. Britney Spears – “Toxic”
  10. Frank Ocean – “Thinkin Bout You

Nice to see Britney make the list though.

Anyway, judge for yourself, here’s the Rolling Stone’s top pick.
